Daily life

I know it has been a while since my last posting.  While back on Long Island I have been conducting numerous night patrols of my back yard, sniffing all around the house and resting. No four legged trespassers.  It's hard work, but I'm the only canine who can do it.

My parents have been going to their usual doctors to make certain they are up to the task of traveling with me in the summer.

They've also been doing work around the house. The basement toilet backed up and I was smart enough not to go sniffing down there.

And they went to visit my Grandma Emily in Syracuse and I got to stay with my BFF Melanie!

This is me and Melanie.  I'm not really trying to run away...

What happened this weekend

I told you that my parents were going away for a long weekend without me (sniff) but that they were having my BFF Melanie stay with me.
Well, you can imagine my surprise when my brother came over on Friday night and then left and then my parents came home with my camper!  What had happened?  As I understand  it, my grandfather was not feeling well and my parents came home so they could visit him.
So Melanie had to go home.  But my mom took a picture of me and Melanie.

Isn't it a beautiful picture of me and my BFF?

Left at home

My parents have gone camping in my Airstream and have left me home!

They say that the place they're going to does not allow canines!  Who picks these places!  I've heard that many of Metro Unit's canines are very upset about this.  Some are even having their parents boycott the even.

However, my parents are going!  The only reason that I forgive them is that my BFF Melanie is staying with me.  We have lots of fun together.  I'll tell you about it the next time I get on the computer.

Uncooperative - me?

Yes, my mother called me uncooperative today!  Me, the most pleasant of canines!  It was just that I did NOT want to get brushed at that particular time!

My mother must have realized that I wasn't really being uncooperative - just assertive because she took me for a ride to see my good friend Pat, the mother of my BFF Melanie.  She was very happy to see me and petted me - then we sat on the grass and talked.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get brushed.
