A weekend away

On Friday my parents woke me up very early and we drove our camper to an Airstream rally near Gettysburg PA.As usual, I got to make some new human friends and reconnect with those I already knew.  Everyone was very glad to see me and, of course, I was the center of attention and enjoyed myself immensely.

I had a surprise on Sunday when my friends Bob and Cathy (they own Pets Warehouse) came to visit and brought my dear friend Trouper. 

Trouper can be a bit snappy so he stayed in his house most of the time but we were basically in the same space at the same time.  I can be very generous with my space.

Then we drove to a most unusual campground.  

We were the only people there so my parents let me wander around without my leash.  How interesting! 

And my brother came to visit and I was able to sleep with him in the camper.  The next day we went home.  It was a nice weekend.

Things I do

I heard that my canine friend Sadie is very smart and can predict the weather.

I do not predict the weather but I do guard my parent's house.

Sometimes my mom helps me not. Oddly, some stores don't allow canine visitors.

My mom found these at Marshalls and thought they would be great gifts for her and my dad.

I'd like to thank all my human and canine friends who said nice things when they heard my grandpa died.

It made me feel much better.

It is good to have friends.

Sad stuff

I must apologize to my human and canine followers for not writing much lately.  It's been very sad here.  My Grandpa was sick and then he died.  He was my Dad's dad and he was very old.  He liked me a lot and I liked visiting him.  He always asked about me when I couldn't come and visit.

My Dad is very sad and my Mom is upset because Dad is sad.   They also have a lot to do to take care of Grandpa's things.  They're out a lot.  I try to help by being good and letting them pet me and talk to me when they want to.  I try not to snore when I sleep.

I hope that things are better soon.

What happened this weekend

I told you that my parents were going away for a long weekend without me (sniff) but that they were having my BFF Melanie stay with me.
Well, you can imagine my surprise when my brother came over on Friday night and then left and then my parents came home with my camper!  What had happened?  As I understand  it, my grandfather was not feeling well and my parents came home so they could visit him.
So Melanie had to go home.  But my mom took a picture of me and Melanie.

My parents have gone camping in my Airstream and have left me home!

They say that the place they're going to does not allow canines!  Who picks these places!  I've heard that many of Metro Unit's canines are very upset about this.  Some are even having their parents boycott the even.

However, my parents are going!  The only reason that I forgive them is that my BFF Melanie is staying with me.  We have lots of fun together.  I'll tell you about it the next time I get on the computer.
