The things my parents do to me....

We have been staying at a lovely campground at an army base in Minnesota.  There are wonderful tall trees

and nice grass for me to lay on while I am guarding things.

Today my parents said they were taking me to a museum!  How exciting!  I love to get out and learn things and let people admire me!

Well, they took me to this military museum.  First Dad put me on a tank!

I was less than thrilled!

Then he stuck my head in this hole and I came out looking like this!
They think I look great!

What am I going to do with my parents!!!???

"We're busy! You're in the way!"

Do your parents say that to you a lot?

Well, mine do - I just don't understand it - don't they realize I'm actually helping them.

Just by being in the middle of everything and allowing them to look at me I'm really making them happy.  How can they look at me and not be happy?

They just don't understand.

Seaman - again

My parents brought me some more picture of that excellent canine Seaman who traveled across the who country with his dear friends Lewis and Clark.

Many place here have pictures of Seaman and there are also large statues of him...

What a splendid looking canine!

Perhaps some day there will be a statue of me.!  After all, I have traveled a lot and I do blog about it which makes me extra special!

A Poem for my parents...

A poem:

I love my mom
I love my dad
When they leave me in the Airstream all day by myself with a stuffed possum for company
I am sad!

This is me and my parents...

Renewing friendships

I was very pleased that this trip to wherever we are allowed me to renew my friendship with my dear friends Cathy and Larry.

They came to dinner at my Airstream and of course, were delighted to see me.

We took a long walk...

They even invited me to their home but they have cats.  I just don't do cats so I stayed back at the Airstream.

A famous canine - Seaman - what a silly name for a canine!

a sketch of Seaman

My parents and I have been traveling in the steps of two famous explorers - Lewis and Clark.

I don't know much about them but I do know that they had a canine with them named Seaman.

Seaman was a very brave and resourceful canine.  He caught squirrels and protected his human friends from danger.  He was a very good looking canine...

Seaman sounds a lot like me.

Goodbyes are sad

Yes, they are...

My dear friend Heidi left a few days ago.  She is sad that she left because she liked sticking her head in gopher holes.

My human friends left too.  They are very dear to me because they feed me.

This is a picture of my human friends.

For some reason they posed by this big bird....
I like the close up picture better because you can see my mom and day better.

How I fool my parents!

You all know that I am an unusually clever canine.  I will now tell you how I fool my parents into thinking that I sleep with them all night!

My parents want me to sleep with them in their bedroom in my Airstream.  They appear to rest more comfortably when they can hear my gentle, melodious breathing.

I am happy to accommodate my parents.  However, I often prefer to sleep in my house in the living portion of my Airstream.

This is what I do!

Every night I go into the bedroom and curl up at the foot of the bed.  I breath.  They get tired.  As soon as the last one turns off the light I wait a few minutes and then I get up and go to my house to sleep.  Then, as the sun comes up, I leave my house and return to the foot of the bed.  How clever of me!

I'm sure that even though my parents both get up in the middle of the night to wee-wee they never notice that I am gone!

Cleaning up

Since I am known as an extremely trustworthy and hard working canine I am often asked to clean up dropped food after various events.

Today was no exception and I was asked to do the cleanup after the Airstreamer's BBQ.  They had a lovely selection of BBQ'd beef, frankfurters, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, creamed corn, jalapeno poppers, pecan and key lime pies, fruit and cookies.

This is a picture of me cleaning up...

Please notice the intense, hardworking look on my face as I go about my duties...

Retiring from the circuit....

I believe the time has come for me to retire from the canine show circuit.

I have won my share of ribbons and believe it is time to let some other canines win theirs.

Here are some pictures taken at my final show at the Airstream rally in Huron, SD:

This is me waiting to "go on..."

Here I am greeting the judges...

This is my friend Heidi and her Dad.  She also participated in the show.

The fact that I didn't win anything has NOTHING to do with the fact that I am retiring!  See the reasons given above...

My Dad is famous!

My good friend Josh saw the video that was made of the interview with my Dad and sent us the link.

This is the link: http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23116820

Take a look at the video.

Now my Dad is famous!

I am famous!

It's so hard to catch up!

My parents' wi-fi card didn't work so of course I could not blog...

And so much has happened!

We're at a big Airstream rally with lots of my Airstream friends both human and canine.

We barely got settled before this lovely woman Ann - from France - another country - came to interview my Dad.

Of course she got to meet me too and was excited to hear about my blog.

This is me and Ann...
